eighteen hundred kilometers

Put together posts and voices inside my head and the ones that I find/see. This is where they come alive. Typing this down from Pakistan. Hello, there.

The Karachi Factory Fire

I couldn’t swallow there, for a moment. It was stuck in my throat. That painful lump. There are flooding rains which killed about 19 people in Sindh due to the electrical shock, I learnt from Radio Pakistan. Then, I heard about a fire in Lahore killing a dozen or more people. Then last night, I hear of the Karachi factory fire. And the number was reaching a hundred. And today it’s … it’s 289? Burnt to death.

One of the worst - correction - the worst way to die; get burnt to death. My thoughts and my prayers go out for the deceased and the bereaved. Please, let this moment, be for them.

I’m out.
